The family is looking for a tutor/life skills coach with a speech-language background.
Some of the responsibilities include:
– spelling
– vocabulary
– reading (decoding and comprehension)
– social skills
– functional skills: knowing driving directions, managing a check book
– helping him with basic math (addition, subtraction, etc.) and basic algebra.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with his speech-language pathologist and psychologist (who are both really awesome and I have learned a lot from).
