We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team, providing invaluable support to students in Massachusetts.

Position Overview: As a Virtual Teacher of… the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized instruction and guidance to students with hearing impairments through our online platform. Collaborating closely with students, their families, and school staff, you will work to develop personalized education plans that cater to individual learning needs and promote student success.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students’ communication and educational requirements.
• Design and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Deliver engaging virtual instruction that aligns with the unique learning styles of students.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to ensure cohesive support.
• Utilize assistive technologies effectively to enhance the learning experience.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in MA.
• Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Previous experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Proficiency in using virtual teaching platforms and relevant technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students and stakeholders.
• Compassionate and patient approach to understanding students’ needs.

Requirements:
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.
• Availability during standard school hours for virtual instruction.
• Equipped with a dependable computer and audio/video tools for effective online teaching.
• Successful completion of a background check.
