Responsibilities
Instruction: Provide high-quality, engaging science lessons to high school students in an online format.
Curriculum Development: Create and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Assessment: Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Technology Utilization: Use virtual teaching tools and platforms to enhance the educational experience and actively engage students.
Collaboration: Partner with colleagues, parents, and students to support academic success and address individual learning needs.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with students, parents, and staff about student progress and needs.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest practices in science education and virtual instruction.
Compliance: Ensure all teaching activities adhere to state and federal education regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification in Pennsylvania.
Experience teaching high school science, ideally in a virtual or remote setting.
Strong knowledge of science curriculum and best instructional practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with virtual communication tools and technology.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage a remote classroom.
Ability to provide general liability insurance.
