Position Details:
• Start Date: Current school year
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Caseload: PreK-12th grade
• Setting: Remote (Alaska)
Special Education Teacher Requirements:
• Valid Alaska Special Education Teaching License
• Minimum of two years of experience in special education
• Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities and needs
• Strong background in developing and implementing IEPs
Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct and indirect educational services to students with special needs
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform instructional strategies
• Create and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) with clear, achievable goals
• Collaborate with parents, students, and educational staff to support student success
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and provide expert input on student progress
