### Role Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Virtual Part-Time School-Based Special Education Teacher. Candidates should possess a solid background in special education, a passion for personalized instruction, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff in a remote setting.

### Key Responsibilities
• **Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):** Develop and implement IEPs that address the unique academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities.
• **Instructional Strategies:** Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and adaptive technologies to provide direct instruction in a virtual environment.
• **Collaboration:** Work alongside general education teachers to promote inclusive practices and facilitate the integration of students with disabilities into mainstream activities.
• **Student Assessment:** Conduct regular assessments, maintain accurate student progress records, and keep parents/guardians updated on their child’s achievements.
• **Behavior Management:** Apply effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies to create a supportive virtual learning atmosphere.
• **Professional Development:** Actively engage in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to sharpen teaching skills and comply with special education regulations.

### Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid Louisiana Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education.
• Successful completion of the Louisiana Department of Education background check and certification requirements.
• At least one year of experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school-based setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for effective collaboration in a virtual setting.
• A strong commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with disabilities.
