Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special needs? Do you thrive in a dynamic, virtual environment? We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Richmond, Virginia for a 100% remote position!
Position Overview:
Full-time (35-40 hours per week)
1099 independent contractor
Predominantly PreK caseload
Fully remote – work from the comfort of your home!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide online direct instruction to early childhood special education students
Manage cases and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
Facilitate virtual IEP meetings with parents, administrators, and other team members
Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student’s needs
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices
Utilize innovative virtual teaching strategies to engage young learners
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Special Education (required)
Active Early Childhood Special Education license in Virginia (required)
Experience working with PreK students with diverse learning needs
Strong technological skills and comfort with virtual learning platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create an engaging and supportive online learning environment
Passion for early childhood education and special needs advocacy
