Virtual Special Education Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Pay: $30+/Hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction based on each student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) and 504 plans.
• Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
• Utilize a range of virtual teaching tools and assistive technologies to facilitate learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing timely feedback and making necessary adjustments to instruction.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and school teams to set and achieve academic and behavioral goals.
• Provide support and resources to parents and caregivers to help them assist their child’s learning at home.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, communications, and instructional activities.
• Stay current with best practices, legal requirements, and emerging technologies related to special education.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with a range of special needs, including knowledge of various instructional strategies and assistive technologies.
• Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
