Location: Remote (Students are based in Virginia)
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Contract opportunities
Pay: $32/Hour
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Utilize various online tools and resources to enhance the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning styles.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction and strategies as needed.
Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to support student development and address any educational concerns.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance, attendance, and IEP goals.
Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
Provide a positive and supportive virtual classroom environment that fosters student engagement and motivation.
Address any technical issues that may arise during virtual instruction and coordinate with technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in special education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with special needs; virtual teaching experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
Proficiency in using virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
