Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year Contract 24/25

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality virtual instruction to deaf and hard-of-hearing students across various grade levels.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including ASL, to ensure effective communication and comprehension.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjustments to instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
• Provide guidance and resources to students and their families to support learning and development outside the classroom.
• Stay current with best practices in deaf education and virtual teaching methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid Kentucky teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students, preferably in a virtual setting.
• Strong understanding of deaf culture and the unique educational needs of DHH students.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Comfortable with technology and various virtual learning platforms.
