WY PT Virtual JH Teacher with 5th-8th Endorsements/Fall 2025

General Job Description…

Provide support and feedback for 6th/8th-grade students & their parent learning coaches who are learning in a home-centered environment. Teachers work in partnership with parent learning coaches to help families successfully school their children. Teachers will use various online tools/resources to support and communicate with students and parents. They will also collaborate both synchronously and asynchronously with students, families, and fellow faculty. All staff is expected to adhere to the Tech Trep Academy Employee handbook. A current Wyoming license with at least one endorsement in LA, SS, Math, or Sciences is required. All applicants must live in one of the following Braintree work states to be considered for the position: AZ, ID, IN, ND, OK, TN, UT, WY.

General Part-time Teacher Responsibilities (Averages 9-11 hrs/week depending on caseload)

Minimum Requirements
• A current teaching license in the state teaching before start date.
• Some daytime availability between 8-5 pm in the State teaching.
• Reside in one of the Braintree works states: AZ, ID, IN, ND, OK, TN, UT, WY
• Clear background check (through Braintree/Tech Trep Academy)

Communication:

Respond to all communications (parent, student, staff) within 24 hours of receipt during school days.

Grading:

All grading will be completed within 7 days of assignments being submitted. Grading responsibilities: biweekly grading with feedback, and semester learning plan feedback & electives for all states. Any states with attendance checks as well.

State Testing:

Administer any required screeners/tests as assigned by the state or Partner.

IEP/504/Parent Meeting:

Prepare for and attend all IEP, 504, or parent meetings unless an extenuating circumstance exists. Notification to the A.D of SpEd and submitted written student input required. Review plans and accommodations at the start of each semester.

Interventions:

Participate in the RTI/SST process by assisting families with interventions, collecting data, and presenting information to the SST.

Track Data:

Student data tracking (state testing results, communication log, etc.)

Student Support Availability:

Provide families with three hours of weekly availability between the hours of 8am and 5pm (local time for TTA families) using a scheduling app. You may need to work with families to find an alternative time if needed.

Professional Learning Communities and Faculty Meetings:
• Attend 1 monthly faculty & 1 monthly PLC meeting monthly via zoom with the camera on.
• Be present and give valuable input.
• If you miss your meeting you must watch a recording, and complete any assigned task within due date expectations.
• Teachers are responsible for maintaining their teacher licenses.

Professional Development:

Attend and/or complete professional development provided throughout the year required by TTA and/or your partner district. Any missed meetings will need to be communicated ahead of time with PLC Lead or supervisor.

Teacher Evaluation:

Participate in the teacher evaluation process through the school year as outlined by Braintree.

Day/Week/Month Expectations

Daily Tasks:
• Check Google Calendar for any meetings
• Check & respond to communication (emails, calls, messages) within 24 hours, excluding weekends or holidays
• Check Schoology & IC for any submitted assignments

Weekly Tasks:
• Read & Act on Weekly Teacher Update items
• Provide 3 hours of time via a scheduler app
• Check the progress of any intervention students and support as needed
• Communicate on submission progress with families & students who may be failing or struggling
• Support families as needed.

Other jobs and tasks as assigned:
• Adhere to the Braintree Handbook.
• Ensure that instructional modifications required by a special education student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), ELP, or 504 are being met.
• Fulfill any other assigned roles/duties (PLC, Intervention classes, etc)
• Participate in Faculty or PLC meetings as assigned
