Job Description
The Department of Chemistry at Marshall University seeks a candidate for a three year term Assistant Professor position starting August 2024 at the Huntington campus.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, as well outstanding communication skills are required.
Duties will include a full time teaching load of 12 hours per semester which may consist of a variety of chemistry courses at the undergraduate level, including departmental or university services.
The Department also seeks a candidate who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum with its emphasis on a common First-Year Seminar and core curriculum courses that enhance students’ critical thinking and the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study.
Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity
Education
• Candidate must have a MS or Ph.D.in chemistry or closely related field
