Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing Special Education Teachers (SPED) for a full-time role with school districts in the Rock Hill, SC area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities…
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt and modify lessons to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor and support students’ academic and behavioral progress
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education services
• Utilize various assessment tools to evaluate student performance and make recommendations for instructional modifications
• Attend IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and other required school meetings
Requirements: To apply, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
• Hold a valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Familiarity with IEPs, and other special education laws and regulations
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
