Christine Santos LLC is currently hiring for 1099, virtual teachers who have experience teaching VIRTUALLY and are native Portuguese (Brazil) speaking.
The teachers for us will be game and project based, very fun and super casual yet professional. We are looking for teachers with the most up to date learning techniques that utilize all of the virtual learning tools there is to offer. This is… more than just a general knowledge of Zoom or a whiteboard. We are looking for a truly interactive team. We are not looking for power point, lecture based lessons. Visuals, are of course, important and power point absolutely has its place in our classes, but, that should be a supplement to the curriculum, not the focus.
Our classes are also gamified, project based and utilize the Socratic teaching method.
We also require that all classes have an optional homework assignment uploaded into the classroom each week. These assignments will be given personal feedback. We want to build connections with our families rather than just an online presence.
All teachers must reside in the United States, be a new applicant and new to teaching on Outschool. Anyone who has previously applied or taught on Outschool will not be considered.
Candidates must:
• live in the United States
• be a native Portuguese (Brazil) speaker.
• certified teacher
• have extensive knowledge and experience in teaching virtually – this includes all of the virtual interactive games
• create project based, gamified lesson plans
• have experience educating children 3-18 years old
• have not taught on Outschool before
Each session is 30 min 1x a week and pays from $10-$25/30 min. Everyone starts at $10. Bonuses will be discussed in interview. Starting rate is firm.
In order to teach 1:1, you must be able to teach group classes as well.
1:1 – $20/30 min
The sessions are thematic and will teach vocabulary and beginning Portuguese (Brazil). These are 1:4 session, not 1:1 .
Each lesson will not build from the prior week.
There is room to add other classes that you would like to teach and create.
Must be available weekday hours – preferable mornings and afternoons, however, evenings will work as well
You must be able to commit to the school year.
As a 1099, you will be able to create your own schedule. We are a global network so any timezone can work but we do prefer to run classes between the hours of 9am and 7pm Eastern.
There is no marketing necessary for this opportunity.
In addition, there is no guarantee that all of your classes will run or run consistently, but, we do our best to fill the seats.
