Reports to: Creative Director and Commercial Director
Location: Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, Balckburn and Darwen Boroughs (Travel required between multiple sites)
Salary: £20 per hour
Hours: Casual Hours (Day Time Term Time Only)

AJ Dance Education is a company that is built on a passion for dance and a desire to engage more children in the creative arts through dance delivery in education. We work with local primary and secondary school delivering curriculum based dance provision and extra curricular dance clubs. The aim throughout our delivery is to provide an inspirational learning experience, allowing children to communicate through movement, developing, body awareness, technical and expressive skills, confidence, creativity, choreographic and performance skills… Boosting their physical, emotional, and social development.

What we are looking for
A talented, amazing, patient, and inspiring professional.
Creative, resourceful, and passionate about nurturing and empowering students to express themselves creatively, whilst creating a safe learning environment for students to grow and develop their own artistic voice in dance.
Our teachers work on a self employed basis and so we are looking for someone with the flexibility through the day dependant on the ongoing contracts with the schools we delivery to.

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead curriculum based dance delivery as part of our schools Dance Provision.
Coordinate and deliver dance after school clubs and holiday clubs
Create competition and performance choreography
Support teachers within our partner schools with their own dance development

Illustrative – You must be outgoing, animated, enthusiastic, as our dance delivery needs to engage. Descriptive, able to demonstrate a variety of different dance styles and techniques.
Inclusive – You must have an ‘every student every time, mentality. We need to ensure that our dance delivery is adaptable to children’s needs ensuring equality across every learning opportunity.
Inspiring – You need to be passionate about dance. Encouraging and motivating. Able to challenge the children to achieve and develop more than just their dance technique. Teaching dance is more about being a positive role model who mentors, leads and teaches young people to be the best that they can be in dance and in life.
Innovative – You must be active in the industry. Proactively seeking out new information and staying on top of trends as the dance world evolves to ensure we are offering fresh choreography and learning styles within our delivery plans.

Requirements
Level 2 Coaching Certificate
DBS Certified
Safeguarding
Driving License
Minimum 2 years teaching/coaching experience
