About the role
The Educational Development Unit (EDU) at Imperial College London is seeking to appoint a new Teaching Fellow in Educational Development (or Senior Teaching Fellow dependent on qualifications and experience) who will be based at the South Kensington campus. This role will be 4 days per week with some flexibility to organise exactly how this will be managed.
What you would be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team of experienced staff who work collaboratively across Imperial to support and enhance learning, teaching and educational development in an institution with an excellent international reputation that consistently achieves high national and international rankings..
You will contribute to the delivery of the EDUs institutional provision, taking responsibility for a selection of standalone workshops and participating in the development and delivery of the Units academic programmes as appropriate. You will contribute to general… educational development work in support of Imperials academic and education strategies and initiatives and although the EDU is not an education research unit, its members are expected to engage in scholarly activity.
What we are looking for
You will be expected to have recent experience as an educational developer and/or trainer in a university or similar environment and to be knowledgeable about higher education. Experience of working in a science and technology context would also be useful. You will ideally have an appropriate educational qualification and will be both confident and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of Imperial staff including academics, senior managerial staff and others involved in supporting learning and teaching.

£63,797 – £75,365 pro rata (Senior Teaching Fellow)

To be appointed at Senior Teaching Fellow you would be expected to have greater experience and a Masters level qualification in education in order to contribute more immediately to planning and development and teaching across the whole spectrum of provision, including Masters level and above.
