We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Motivational Interviewing Instructor for the EndTobacco Programs. This is a temporary position, not to exceed 4 1/2 months, with a commitment of 6 hours per week. The salary for this position will be reflective of the hours worked.
Key Responsibilities…
Course Instruction and Curriculum Enhancement:
Lead instruction for “Motivational Interviewing” modules within the Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program, delivering engaging and high-quality instruction to healthcare professionals.
Act as a backup instructor for relapse prevention and treatment planning modules.
Utilize diverse teaching methods, including lectures, case studies, role-playing, and group discussions, to ensure learner engagement and comprehension.
Provide subject matter expertise to enhance and update curriculum materials.
Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Serve as a resource to instructors involved in delivering motivational interviewing modules.
Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in tobacco cessation and counseling to inform curriculum updates.
Support For Project Activities
Conduct Motivational Interviewing sessions and facilitate case presentations.
Serve as a backup facilitator for Project sessions.
Connect EndTobacco team with tobacco treatment providers to facilitate bimonthly Project tele-mentoring sessions.
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Psychology, Training & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Three years of experience in a related field in a business or healthcare environment. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the required education.
