What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Provide targeted instruction to students based on CA ELD Standards
– Support students in content area coursework and provide additional one-to-one support
– Build lasting relationships with students through consistent outreach
– Monitor attendance, engagement, and provide interventions as needed
– Proctor state testing and attend in-person events quarterly
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Permanent California Residence
– Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Multiple or Single Subject teaching credential
– California English Learner Authorization
– Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm
– Must meet all requirements at the time of applying
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience in online teaching or virtual instruction
– Familiarity with K12, inc. curriculum
– Strong problem-solving skills and use of technology in the classroom
– Previous experience working with English Language Learners
– Bilingual proficiency in English and another language
