FWS Student Assistant/Tutor- Pantry Partners (Fall)

This is a Federal Work Study Only position at Pantry Partners, Inc of Norman, Inc (PPI) in Norman, OK.

Tutor/Beacon Assistant Job Duties…
• Greeting and engaging teens
• Tutor high school students in literacy and math activities
• Keeping your designated space clean and inviting
• Wiping down tables, chairs, etc. that any teen may have used
• Light food and drink preparation
• Light computer work and filing
• Assisting Beacon Coordinator
• Sweeping, mopping, taking out trash
• Working with and around minors/teens so discretion is required.
• We have a strict privacy policy due to the circumstances and age of our clientele (minors), selfies, videos, etc. are not allowed in or around our location.

Candidate will have to sign a confidentiality agreement

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the Fall semester as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
• Must attach FALL 2024 ONE class schedule.
• Must have received and accepted a work study award for the FALL semester.

Skills:
• Basic computer skills.
• Organized, friendly and have a positive attitude.
• Dress code is casual – neat clean appearance. Closed-toed shoes are required.
• No smoking/vaping/drinking/drugs/weapons on or near premises.
• Familiar with basic office equipment.
• Bilingual – Spanish preference.

Advertised Physical Requirements:
• Standard Office Environment
• Must be able to lift boxes, cans, etc.(5-15 lbs)
Required Certifications:
• FERPA Training

Department Preferences:
• An interest in social work and non-profits.
