Club Z! ACT/SAT Tutors:
Our Club Z! Tutors work one-on-one with local high school students to help them prepare for and succeed on the ACT, Digital SAT, and PSAT Exams. Tutors will teach each student using an existing curriculum supplemented by additional materials.
We are seeking in-person tutors for immediate placement to support our students in ACT/ SAT Test Prep. This is a part-time position ($36-$42 per hour to start), working one-on-one with school students in the greater Rockville, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and Bethesda, MD areas!
• Tutoring is provided in Montgomery County, MD. Applicants must live in the Greater Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, and Takoma Park, MD Areas. This is not a virtual-only tutoring position! ***
Tutors meet one-on-one with students in the students’ homes, at a public location, or virtually. We match tutors with students based on their needs and your qualifications, and we guarantee our clients a perfect tutor match. Tutors utilize our proprietary ACT and SAT ZPrep! Materials, using our online portal to work with students. Most test prep tutoring sessions take place during after school hours and/or on weekends.
PLEASE NOTE: This position is for in-person tutoring in the student’s home. During the tutoring sessions, you and the family will follow CDC guidelines.
Qualifications
• Must have extensive experience with the SAT or ACT Tests, plus an in-depth understanding of strategies and study methods.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of the SAT Evidence-Based Reading, Writing, and Math sections.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Teaching / Tutoring Experience.
• Reliable transportation; must live near the greater Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, or Takoma Park, MD areas.
• Early evening hours are required. Weekend availability is a plus.
• Access to the internet, computer, and cell phone.
• Ability to attend training (all training is paid at the training rate);
Compensation for SAT and ACT Test Prep tutoring starts at $36-$42 per hour for tutoring and $15/hour for training, with opportunities for referral bonuses and annual increases.
Responsibilities
• Manage and tutor individual students in a non-classroom setting.
• Design and implement lesson plans.
• Establish academic goals and milestones with students.
• Document and communicate weekly progress reports.
• Provide constructive feedback for students.
• Review and assign homework as necessary.
• Facilitate and conduct tutoring sessions at the scheduled time and location.
