Position Overview
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering engaging course content and providing personalized support to students in a virtual setting. From facilitating live synchronous teaching sessions to guiding students through asynchronous learning activities, you’ll ensure each student receives the attention and assistance they need to thrive academically.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by actively engaging students and demonstrating a genuine interest in their success.
Prepare students for standardized tests and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their academic goals.
Conduct live teaching sessions for a minimum of 15 hours per week, supplemented by asynchronous support activities.
Collaborate with local, regional, and national teams to enhance instructional strategies and leverage data-driven decision-making.
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and learning coaches to address concerns and facilitate academic progress.
Organize social and educational activities to enrich the student experience and foster a sense of community within the virtual classroom.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and appropriate state teaching certification.
Minimum Of Six Months Of Student Teaching Experience.
Pedagogical knowledge of the subject matter and ability to apply critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a home-based setting.
Access to reliable high-speed internet and willingness to travel occasionally for professional development and testing purposes.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with middle school students.
Proficiency in online teaching platforms such as Blackboard Collaborative or Newrow.
Previous experience in a virtual teaching environment.
