Play for life.” In this role, you will provide one-on-one personalized music instruction to students ranging from ages 5 to adults. This position will involve conducting regular music… lessons (typically held on a weekly basis), formulating insightful lesson plans, and assessing student performance through structured practice sessions and performance opportunities. The position is located at our Coralville facility, with specific availability required on Fridays and Saturdays.

### Responsibilities
– Assess the educational requirements of each student and create tailored lesson plans accordingly.
– Prepare and present course materials including syllabi, homework assignments, and educational handouts.
– Instruct students in musical techniques utilizing a variety of resources and teaching methods.
– Prepare students for performances, contests, or assessments, guiding their practice sessions.
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress assessments.
– Communicate effectively with students and parents, providing positive and constructive feedback.
– Collaborate with store staff and personnel to enhance the overall lesson experience.
– Utilize learning management tools provided for tracking student progress and assigning practice tasks.
– Complete weekly timesheets and ensure compliance with training and HR requirements.
– Stay informed on current trends and advancements in music education through literature, collaboration, and professional development.
### Qualifications
• *Required:**
– Minimum of two years of prior teaching experience is preferred.
– Availability to teach on scheduled hours at the Coralville location.
– Strong grasp of music concepts and theory, with the ability to connect with students across all ages.

– A college degree in a music-related field or equivalently relevant teaching experience.
