**Overview:** The Writing Center is seeking a team of peer writing tutors to provide writing support to students across all programs and disciplines. As a peer writing tutor, you will work independently and collaboratively to help students improve their writing skills, while also developing your own skills and knowledge. **Responsibilities:**
• Work scheduled shifts punctually and provide writing… support via meeting by Zoom or phone (70% of time)
• Present a friendly and welcoming space for walk-ins and appointments (ongoing)
• Help define the direction and growth of the Writing Center (ongoing)
• Participate in professional development meetings (10% of time)
• Maintain familiarity with writing resources (ongoing)
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Center (ongoing)
• Facilitate writing events or workshops and work on other projects as needed (20% of time)

• Familiarity with the major elements of academic writing
• Patience, sensitivity, and willingness to listen

• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality
• Prior Writing Center experience, academic consultation, or peer support work is a benefit, but training is included
• Strong presentation and resume-writing skills are a significant plus
• Must be currently enrolled in an BA, Ma, or Doctoral Antioch program with an available work study award*
