HU is seeking a part-time/adjunct faculty member to teach a course within our Biotechnology graduate degree program.

Overview of MSBTEC program-The MS BTEC program is offered as a hybrid program that comprises of 100% synchronous online offerings blended with a mix of online and 3- in-person executive sessions (3 Saturdays a semester) on the main-campus in Harrisburg.

The program currently has about 150 students and is growing consistently. It offers three different concentrations in Biomanufacturing, Medical Biotechnology, and Business and Management in Biotechnology. It also offers post-bac certificates in Biomanufacturing, Medical Biotechnology, and Legal and Regulatory Policies for Biotech Industry.

BTEC 560- Design of Experiment –

Description: This course allows the student to design an experiment and learn methodology for data analysis. Components such as major characteristics of a scientific experiment, running statistical analyses to perform various tests to check validity of the data would be covered. In a case-based manner, the student works on design of an experimental protocol for an assigned conceptual research project. Trouble-shooting strategies and analyzing data sets would be covered.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have a PhD in Biotechnology or a relevant field of Life Sciences

Should be well-versed in Statistical analyses methods. Experience with SAAS applications as applied for statistical analysis is a must. Experience with statical analyses in life sciences/biotechnology applications (clinical trials data/ biomanufacturing data etc) is preferred.

Classroom teaching experience is highly desirable. Experience in offering online courses is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
