Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced K-8 Gifted Teacher to join a supportive and innovative educational team. This remote position offers the flexibility to teach from anywhere within West Virginia while providing high-quality instruction to gifted students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gifted education, a deep understanding of K-8 curriculum standards, and the ability to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences for advanced learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement a rigorous and challenging curriculum tailored to the needs of gifted students in grades K-8.
• Develop and deliver engaging virtual lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress through various tools and strategies, providing feedback to support their academic and social growth.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s development.
• Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and maintain an interactive and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in gifted education and remote teaching.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Gifted Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in West Virginia, with endorsements in Gifted Education preferred.
• Proven experience teaching gifted students at the K-8 level.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online instruction.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
