We are seeking an experienced and passionate SAT Tutor to provide one-on-one and small group instruction to high school students preparing for the SAT. As a Remote SAT Tutor, you will deliver engaging and personalized tutoring sessions via video conferencing platforms, helping students achieve their target SAT scores and gain admission to their desired colleges.
Key Responsibilities…
• Provide Personalized Instruction: Tailor your teaching methods to meet each student’s needs and learning style, focusing on specific sections of the SAT (Math, Reading, Writing, and Language).
• Create and Implement Lesson Plans: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with students’ goals and the SAT curriculum.
• Administer Practice Tests: Assign, proctor, and review SAT practice tests, providing detailed feedback and strategies for improvement.
• Track Progress: Regularly assess students’ progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure they are on track to meet their score goals.
• Motivate and Support Students: Encourage students to stay focused and motivated throughout their SAT preparation journey.
• Communicate with Parents/Guardians: Provide regular updates to parents/guardians about students’ progress and areas that need improvement.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest changes to the SAT format, content, and strategies to ensure students receive the most current and effective instruction.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in SAT tutoring, either in-person or remotely. Strong familiarity with the SAT exam format, content, and strategies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or teaching certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and educational tools. Strong computer and internet skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Availability: Flexible availability to accommodate students in different time zones. Weekend and evening hours may be required.
• Passion for Education: A genuine interest in helping students succeed and a patient, encouraging attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven Success: A track record of helping students achieve significant improvements in their SAT scores.
• Adaptability: Ability to work with students of varying abilities and backgrounds, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Test Prep Expertise: Familiarity with other standardized tests (ACT, PSAT) is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 7 per week
