Position:
Special Education Teacher (1099 Independent Contractor)
Location:
100% Remote – Serving students in Pennsylvania
Hours:
Full-time, 35-40 hours per week
Pay Type:
1099 Contract Position
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide Direct Instruction: Utilize virtual platforms to deliver engaging and effective instruction to K-12 students with various disabilities.
• Case Management: Oversee the progress of assigned students by maintaining up-to-date records, conducting assessments, and developing strategies tailored to each student’s individual needs.
• IEP Meetings: Facilitate and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, ensuring all required documentation and plans are up to date. Collaborate with parents, students, and district personnel to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Compliance: Maintain accurate and compliant records in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including IEP documentation, progress reports, and other related documentation.
• Communication: Serve as a resource for students, families, and school district staff by providing ongoing support and updates.
Qualifications:
• Must hold an active Special Education Teaching License in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Master’s Degree in Special Education required.
• At least 2 years of Special Education teaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and state special education regulations.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using online teaching platforms.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
