Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Central Indiana area! This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. We have multiple caseloads available, allowing you to tailor your experience and expertise to best support our student population.

What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other exceptionalities.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated learning approaches to address diverse learning styles and academic needs of students with special needs, depending on your assigned caseload.
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects (reading, math, writing) aligned with state standards, with a focus on closing learning gaps and promoting academic success for future grade levels.
• Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies into your lessons to foster emotional well-being, self-advocacy skills, and positive peer relationships among students.
• Deliver specialized instruction and support services aligned with each student’s IEP goals, focusing on targeted interventions to address specific learning challenges based on your caseload.
• Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of instructional strategies to inform ongoing learning plans for students with special needs.
• Partner with students and families to set goals and celebrate achievements throughout the school year.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education for students with varying needs.

Multiple Caseloads Available:
• We offer the opportunity to tailor your position to your experience and expertise. Caseloads may include elementary, middle school, or high school students, with a focus on specific learning needs such as:
• Learning Disabilities
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (EBD)
• Developmental Delays

Working in Central Indiana:

This location provides access to the vibrant communities of Central Indiana while allowing you to contribute to the academic success of students with special needs in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications:
• Indiana State Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education or a related field.
• Prior experience working with students with special needs is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development and learning theories as they apply to students with diverse needs.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal standards.
• Excellent classroom management and instructional skills to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students with special needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting on student progress.
• A passion for helping students with special needs overcome challenges, develop a love for learning, and reach their full potential in a supportive school environment.
