Blazer Jobs is looking for a Special Education Teacher to fill a full-time role in Portland, OR. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities…
• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities, both one-on-one and in groups
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to foster inclusive classroom environments
• Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to encourage growth and achievement
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of student goals and educational plans
• Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success
Qualifications:
• Must hold valid state and local certifications for Special Education in Oregon
• Experience with developing IEPs and working with students with diverse needs is highly preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A commitment to helping students reach their full potential in an inclusive setting
