Key Responsibilities:
• Implementation of IEPs:
• Provide all special education and related services as outlined by the IEP team.
• Maintain communication with parents and service staff to ensure students receive necessary therapies.
• Develop and maintain compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required special education documentation specific to Wisconsin.
• Lead and facilitate special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings.
• Utilize resources to ensure students have access to accommodations and modifications, such as assistive technology and supplemental curriculum.
• Modify and adapt Stride K12 lessons and assessments to meet IEP specifications.
• Promote inclusion and success within the general education setting.
• Monitoring and Documentation:
• Collect and analyze data and work samples to track progress toward IEP goals.
• Document all parent interactions and student interventions.
• Use student data to provide targeted remediation and enrichment.
• Teaching and Engagement:
• Deliver engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous lessons.
• Personalize learning experiences to meet the needs of each student.
• Uphold high expectations for student success.
• Maintain accurate grade books, make placement and promotion decisions, and notify administrators of performance concerns.
• Prepare students for standardized tests.
• Family and Student Support:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate regularly and promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with instructional issues and virtual classroom troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Wisconsin Special Education teaching license
• At least six months of student teaching experience
• Successful completion of background checks
