Role Description
This is a contract remote role for an Online Math-Reading Tutor. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing online tutoring services in mathematics and reading to students of all ages and levels. Your day-to-day tasks would include identifying each student’s individual learning needs and creating personalized learning plans to help them meet their goals. You will also be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons that are designed to help students develop effective study habits and /or test taking strategies.
Qualifications
• Experience teaching mathematics and/or reading to students of all levels, preferably in an online setting
• Experience working with students who have a range of learning styles and abilities
• Knowledge of various math and reading curricula and standardized tests, such as the ACT and SAT
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students and parents
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple student schedules and learning plans
• A patient, positive, and enthusiastic teaching style that encourages and motivates students to learn
