Key Responsibilities
Design Personalized Learning Plans: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student in a supportive virtual environment.
Deliver Engaging Instruction: Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs, using innovative online tools and evidence-based teaching practices to enhance their academic and developmental growth.
Track and Adjust Progress: Monitor and document student progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to IEPs to ensure continued success and growth.
Collaborate for Success: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals via virtual platforms to create a supportive network that promotes student achievement.
Qualifications
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: A valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Alabama.
Experience: Previous experience working with children with diverse learning needs, ideally in a virtual teaching environment.
IEP Expertise: Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and familiarity with special education laws.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using virtual teaching tools and technology to create an interactive and effective learning experience.
