Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology – Remote | WFH

We are excited to invite applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Biology, starting August 15, 2024. This role offers the opportunity to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including upper-division classes in cellular/molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry, as well as introductory courses within the general education curriculum. The ideal candidate will be… committed to integrating faith into their teaching, scholarship, and service at a Christian liberal arts institution.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biology or a related field, with a focus on cellular/molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, and/or biochemistry.

Proven experience in teaching both lecture and laboratory courses.

Experience working with diverse student populations.

A promising research agenda that enhances undergraduate education is preferred.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Teach 12 units of undergraduate coursework each fall and spring semester.

Prepare and deliver lectures and lab sessions in subjects such as introduction to biology, cellular/molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry.

Advise and mentor students majoring in biology.

Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and student recruitment within the department.

Participate in faculty committees and departmental meetings.

Engage in professional development activities and ensure timely completion of assessments, grades, and reports.

Compensation

Salaries are based on academic degree, rank, and years of teaching experience, with a current salary range of $64,480 – $76,000.
