• A valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Compliance with Ohio Department of Education requirements for Special Education.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong understanding of Ohio state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Typical Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Assess and track student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system for students.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
• Participate in professional development and training to remain current with best practices in special education.
