Early Childhood – Teacher – Remote | WFH

As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and enriching learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating engaging curriculum, and managing daily classroom activities. Your understanding of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development will help create a safe and stimulating… space where children are encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with developmental best practices and early learning standards.

Lead by example and support your teaching team through modeling, coaching, and encouragement.

Plan and execute individual and group activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.

Communicate regularly with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences to keep them informed and engaged.

Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations to maintain a high standard of care and safety.

Maintain a healthy classroom environment by upholding hygiene and cleanliness standards, and ensuring the safety and security of all children.

Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers, ensuring adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.

Keep accurate records and manage necessary forms and files.

Continuously enhance your professional development to support ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

High energy and ability to collaborate effectively with staff, children, and parents in a team-oriented environment.

Strong understanding of child development principles.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required (must obtain within 90 days of employment).

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and health screening.

Physical ability to perform tasks such as frequent walking, handling objects, talking, hearing, and occasional kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.

Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

Sick Leave: Full-time employees will receive 3 days of sick leave after 6 months of continuous employment. A doctor’s note is required to claim sick leave, and it must be reported to the director on the day of absence. Sick leave does not carry over to the next year.

Holiday Pay: Available to full-time employees with a CDA, Certificate of Mastery, or Associate’s Degree in Childcare after 90 days of employment. All other full-time employees will be eligible for holiday pay after 1 year of continuous employment.

Vacation Time: Full-time employees with a CDA, Certificate of Mastery, or Associate’s Degree in Childcare will receive 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of continuous employment. Vacation days must be used within the current year and do not roll over.
