Elementary ASL Teacher for Virtual Position – Part Time

Sarah’s Spanish School is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced American Sign Language (ASL) teacher to join our educational team. This part-time role is ideal for professionals skilled in delivering dynamic and engaging ASL educational experiences, particularly to elementary school children.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one or two virtual after-school ASL classes per week, scheduled in the early afternoon.
• Record additional ASL classes throughout the week to enhance our comprehensive language program.
• Create a positive and supportive virtual learning environment conducive to language acquisition.
• Collaborate with our team to develop and refine the ASL curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of students’ achievements.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or significant coursework in American Sign Language, Deaf studies, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching… ASL, preferably to children at the elementary level.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in ASL.
• Experience with digital platforms used for virtual teaching.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage teaching responsibilities.
