Responsibilities:
– Maintain professional standards in classroom and clinical teaching
– Create and submit course syllabi, manage classrooms, utilize technology, submit grades, and maintain records
– Actively participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work
– Develop and implement engaging teaching and evaluation strategies
– Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising
– Stay current in nursing education and practice through continuing education
– Contribute to evaluation processes to measure outcomes for the School of Nursing
Qualifications:
– Minimum of a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
– At least two years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse
– Formal education in teaching and learning principles for adult education (preferred)
– Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in TN or compact states
– Teaching experience (preferred)
