### Job Opportunity: Mandarin Language Instructor
#### Overview…
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our teaching team as Mandarin Language instructors, delivering online courses to high school and middle school students aged 12 to 18. Our courses range from Middle School and High School Levels 1-6+, including conversational and test/prep options, all designed to fulfill high school World Language requirements.
#### Curriculum
Our curriculum adheres to ACTFL standards and is innovatively designed without traditional textbooks. We utilize ACTFL Can-Do Statements and focus on real-world communication contexts to create engaging lessons. While we provide a Resource Library, instructors are encouraged to develop and implement their own teaching materials. Our assessment approach emphasizes Project-Based Learning, and we do not incorporate quizzes, tests, or exams.
#### Responsibilities
• Conduct one-on-one online lessons using Microsoft Teams.
• Assign and evaluate homework assignments and projects.
• Monitor and track student grades and progress.
• Foster student engagement and success.
• Provide respect and support to all students.
#### Requirements
• 1-2+ years of experience teaching Mandarin, whether online or in a classroom.
• Native-like proficiency in Mandarin.
• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficiency in technology and Microsoft Office.
• Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Availability for evening hours in the US time zone (PST) is preferred.
