The Online Nursing Faculty and Data Manager works collaboratively with nursing team members to assess teaching needs, provide solutions for online course delivery supported through centralized faculty staffing and to oversee online prelicensure and RN-BSN nursing course delivery across the university system. The Online Nursing Faculty and Data Manager takes action to improve program quality, enhance current staffing systems and processes, and assist in coaching, mentoring and evaluation of online faculty. In addition to direct faculty oversight, the Online Nursing Faculty and Data Manager works with School of Nursing leaders to assess and evaluate data and outcomes contributing to a culture and practice of data-informed continuous improvement across the programs.

Responsibilities:

Faculty Oversight & Management 50%
• Directly supports the governing organization’s mission and purpose in achieving end-of-program student and program outcomes.
• Maintains faculty placement based on qualifications, licensure, and campus requests/input.
• Engages in ongoing communication with Nursing Deans and Academic Program Directors for projected online delivery for upcoming terms and required online faculty support.
• Provides formal supervision and direct management of faculty associated with the program.
• Coaches, mentors, and evaluates online faculty members in the pre-licensure and RN-BSN programs under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Systems.
• Conducts quarterly meetings for online faculty.
• Provides program direction and guidance to online faculty with the Academic Program Directors.
• Responds promptly and appropriately to all nursing faculty and staff requests for information and guidance.
• Attends School of Nursing, faculty, and programmatic meetings as needed.
• Facilitates positive communication and develops collegial relationships with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to promote positive learning environments.
• Maintains high-performance standards for self that support the overall strategic plan and vision of the School of Nursing and University.
• Demonstrates strict adherence to all institutional, governmental, and accreditation policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
• Assists the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Systems in creating high levels of faculty engagement and satisfaction through activities, community building, and management oversight/engagement.
• Facilitates communication between campuses and online faculty to support campuses with campus-specific initiatives to enhance student success.

Data and Outcome Oversight 45%
• Participates in tracking key academic metrics used to monitor the performance of the nursing programs, including but not limited to faculty staffing ratios (FY and PT), program completion rates, and graduation rates as guided by the Systematic and Master Plan of Evaluation.
• In collaboration with School of Nursing leaders, conduct periodic review, analysis, and reporting of data needed to measure program impact, establish program priorities, and support continuous improvement of nursing programs and initiatives.
• Conducts routine analysis on process and outcome data and shares recommendations and insights with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports the continuous improvement of evaluation methods, systems, and practices.
• Participates in developing action plans to address areas not meeting the program standards.

Curriculum Supervision 5%
• * Contributes to sustaining and delivering school curricula by programmatic accreditation standards and strategic planning goals.
• Assists the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Systems to ensure documented program and course assessments are monitored, assessed and evaluated to provide an opportunity for academic improvement.
• Collaborates with School of Nursing Leaders to develop and evaluate strategic and programmatic initiatives and program enhancements.

Reporting Relationships:

The Online Nursing Faculty and Data Manager reports to the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Systems in the School of Nursing.

Requirements:
• A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required.
• An unencumbered RN license.
• Five years or more experience serving as a faculty member in a nursing education program.
• Five years of higher education administration experience.
• Two years or more management experience within the nursing field.
• Experience with ACEN and CCNE nursing accreditation process and Board of Nursing regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, emphasizing Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day business operations with discipline and a keen focus on details.
