Position Details
Schedule: Classes are scheduled between 10:00 am EST and 6:30 pm EST, Monday through Thursday.
Role: As a Live Online Class Teaching Assistant, you will provide instructional support, enhance the quality of the Live Online program, and work closely with our team to ensure exceptional service for students.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage online classrooms, including recording sessions, supervising breakout rooms, and addressing chat questions.
Support the Live Online Teacher with tasks in the learning management system.
Provide class coverage when the Live Online Teacher is unavailable.
Utilize online tools effectively and assist with lesson delivery in line with established standards.
Monitor student progress and promote enrichment and remediation as needed.
Conduct reflections on lesson delivery and discuss course content with the Live Online Teacher.
Participate in scheduled virtual meetings and engage in personal and professional development.
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma or GED; residence in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia.
Preferred: Degree in Education or a related field; prior teaching or teaching assistant experience; knowledge in a specific content area; experience with Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
