Job Summary
As a Training Instructor Level 1, you will play a key role in gathering business requirements for data warehouse processes and applications. This involves interviewing technical experts and subject matter experts (SMEs), scheduling and conducting walkthroughs and reviews, documenting metadata usage and data lineage, and mapping business processes using Visio. You will provide excellent service to customers, mentor less experienced team members, and utilize your knowledge of insurance concepts and electronic applications to perform root cause analysis and resolve defects. You will also help develop and deliver training programs for federal IT systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Collect business requirements for data warehouse processes and applications through interviews with technical experts and SMEs.
Schedule and lead walkthroughs and business reviews to confirm requirements.
Identify, validate, and document metadata usage and data lineage.
Map business process flows using Visio and suggest solutions based on research.
Guide and support less experienced team members within your assigned applications.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring effective and efficient resolution of their needs.
Use your knowledge of insurance concepts and electronic applications to conduct root cause analysis and document findings for defect resolution.
Assist in creating and delivering engaging and accessible training programs and materials for federal IT systems and applications.
Participate in ongoing training sessions and offer feedback to improve programs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business, Healthcare, Insurance) preferred.
At least one year of experience in a similar role or related field.
Proven experience in data warehouse processes and business requirements gathering.
Strong understanding of insurance concepts and principles.
Proficiency in Visio for process mapping.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team and mentor less experienced colleagues.
Dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic insurance applications.
Familiarity with metadata management and data lineage documentation.
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
Experience developing and delivering training programs for federal clients, preferably CMS.
Experience in Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse or program work.
